D'article breaks free from corporate color

04 February 2009 - Posted by Andrew Chin

Bye bye green, hello all colors! Since 2001, apple green (Pantone 382) has been the official corporate color of D’article. I think that’s enough now, thank you. It’s not that I think it’s not a nice color, but it just isn’t cutting edge no more, you know what I mean? Besides, I think that a super service agency like ours should be complementary to the color schemes of our clients. Our company logo may not mess up a nice presentation for a client. Our logo must be a wanted addition to a designed object, like the Pininfarina badge on a nice car.

So out with the green, then. It is a little bit against the trend to make everything ‘green’, but that’s fine. When we remove the green from our corporate identity, we are left with black and white. Together they form the highest possible contrast and that is what I am always looking for as a designer.
